While the focus of Americans was on the government shutdown and the debacle of the Obama Care rollout in October, the Senate was quietly moving to vote on a bill titled H.R. 1755 [Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2013], an attack on the liberty of business owners and employers to hire employees who reflect their religious values and convictions. H.R. 1755 (ENDA) passed in the Senate on Thursday by a vote of 64 to 32 with ten Republicans voting with the Democratic majority in favor of the bill.

If the House of Representatives passes ENDA, the expression of one’s sexual deviancy will become law and homosexuals, bisexuals and transvestites will have special legal protections in the workplace that trumps the rights of employers to hire employees who reflect their moral values. For the moment, the ENDA does contain an exemption for religious organizations and their educational institutions; however, those institutions that are religious in nature but not affiliated directly with a church, synagogue or mosque appear to fall under the ENDA mandate. The ENDA will force Christian employers and non-church affiliated religious institutions to hire homosexuals, bisexuals and transvestites in violation of their religious freedoms and convictions. A perceived violation of ENDA by employers will invite crippling lawsuits, settlements and the wrath of government that will sound the death knell to the free exercise of religion in the workplace.

An EVIL has taken hold of our nation and is systematically attacking every moral fiber of our society.  An EVIL that is the antithesis of qualities and values once cherished by Americans—innocence, purity and common decency have been ousted in favor of baseness, corruption and moral depravity. Politics of the immoral has become our nation’s pulpit and politicians from Pennsylvania Avenue to Main Street have become societal bullies ruling by decree and threatening any who dare not lockstep with their liberal, immoral ideals.  The very crowd that demands tolerance is demonizing the expression of religious convictions, eroding moral values and enflaming an open hostility for Biblical Christianity.

The proponents of political correctness have dared Christians to address the sins of our nation as a great wickedness. Those who adhere to traditional moral values have been all but silenced, overwhelmed by the relentless campaign of intimidation fostered by liberal leaders and media bent on not only promoting evil, but also demonizing anyone who dare oppose them. EVIL no longer lurks in the shadows. The Senate’s passage of ENDA and the President’s promise to sign it into law cries out for God’s judgment upon our nation.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)
