Dear Hillsdale family, friends and followers of Heart of a Shepherd,

I begin with praising the LORD for your financial gifts that to date total just over $10,000.  While the majority of that amount was given by Hillsdale members this past Sunday, friends of our ministry and followers of this blog have also given online.  Please be assured those funds are and will be used by our mission relief teams as they assist pastors, churches and their neighbors in Texas.

A second Hillsdale team will depart Friday morning and drive to Texas bringing supplies needed in the recovery effort, including fuel, food and construction materials.  There is room for 4 additional men who are able to be gone for a week.  Please contact Hillsdale’s youth pastor if interested in joining our team at jjarrett@hillsdalebaptist.org.

If possible, Hillsdale will send a third team in a few weeks when the buildings have dried out

Pray for safety as our first team of 4 is spending the first 3 days assisting a pastor who did not have flood insurance.

Finally, we are praying for Tampa will be spared from Hurricane Irma.

With the heart of a shepherd,

Pastor Travis D. Smith
