Scripture Reading – Psalm 105-107
Although late in posting today’s devotional reading, it is a joy to return to my daily exercise of penning a devotional thought from our scheduled Scripture reading. The loss of electricity and the need to clean up debris following Hurricane Irma necessarily demanded my focus to immediate needs; however, life is getting back to a semblance of normalcy at Hillsdale and in Tampa.
For those whose goal is to read through the Bible this year, the following are recent reading assignments I was not able to post.
Saturday – September 9 – John 10-12
Sunday, September 10 – 2 Timothy 3-4
Monday, September 11 – Numbers 13-16
Tuesday, September 12 – 1 Chronicles 20-24
Wednesday, September 13 – Psalm 105-107
Please be in prayer for Texas and the areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey. I also covet your prayers for my fellow Floridians whose lives are forever changed by Hurricane Irma.
We are beginning to assess what part Hillsdale Baptist Church might have in assisting our neighbors to the south of Tampa Bay.
I plan to return to posting a daily devotional commentary this Thursday, September 14, 2017.
