“Uncommon, Common Sense” (Proverbs 30) – 6:30pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2022

Dear Heart of a Shepherd Family,

I am writing to invite you to join tonight’s “Uncommon Common Sense” class as I continue my series in the Book of Proverbs.

The proverbs of Agur is the subject of  tonight’s lesson. His wise counsel was recorded in Proverbs 30. The focus of this evening’s lesson is Proverbs 30:1-16.

Some reading this invitation may be surprised someone other than Solomon has proverbs recorded in the treasure trove of wisdom known as Proverbs. You might ask, who was Agur? I will address his identity in the class, which begins at 6:30pm.

Among the topics we will consider this evening are:

The Person and Sovereignty of God (Proverbs 30:4), Four Generations That Should Look in the Mirror (Proverbs 30:11-14), and Four Things that Are as Hungry as a Leech, and Never Satisfied (Proverbs 30:15-16).

The live broadcast of tonight’s class can be seen at www.HillsdaleBaptist.org, and on www.DailyTestify.com.

With the heart of a shepherd,

Travis D. Smith
