Do the Scriptures teach “DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION?”
Pastor Smith continues his series “Logos: A Journey of Faith, Hope, and Love” with a message titled “God Rewards Faithfulness, But Salvation is a Gift of His Grace” from Matthew 20.
This lesson began with a question: Is the God of the Scriptures a proponent of DEI – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?”
1) Diversity – Promotions based on Race, Sex, Sexual orientation, and ethnicity.
2) Equity – Demands equal outcome, reward, and pay. It is not based on merit, talent, skills, or work ethic.
3) Inclusion – Equal access and promotion regardless of physical, intellectual, ability, or disability.
Equity demands and guarantees “equal outcome” and is rooted in socialist and Marxist ideology.
1) Demands one class, regardless of talent, work, achievement, or responsibility.
2) Results – No incentive to work or strive for excellence.
3) Promotions are not based on merit or achievement but on sexual identity, race, etc.
Is DEI compatible with the Scriptures?
The last 15 minutes of the lesson will explain the application of God’s Grace and Rewards contrasted with DEI.
